Default Sta-Bo

I got home earlylast night from work and it was almost 50 and sunny. I had not been out on the Scoot since I installed my Sta-Bo's and was anxious to get out for a quick cruise. I had read all the threads about "The Death Wobble" and "Rear Steer". I had never experenced it first hand but I am an Engineer and could see the logic in why it would or could happen. I was pretty convinced on going with the Tru-Trak when Fahpahsaid he was going to purchase a set of Sta-Bo's and wanted to know if I wanted a set while he was ordering them (we work and ride together.) We saved a few bucks in shipping by buying two sets at the same time. I read up on them and decided to give them a try. They are a far cry fromthe $400 price of the Tru-Trak. With that said I believe to truely "solve" the problem I would assume both products would be needed. I intendon also gettingthe Tru-Trak later.

Anyway, I took a real short cruise on the Scoot and OMG! I cannot believe the difference in the feel of the ride! It feels so much better in just the normal handling of the bike.Fahpah and I are going to run the Dragon's Tail in late April. I think I will be able to truely "feel" the advantage of having these then.

Needless to say, so far I am verysatisfied with the Sta-Bo's

Default RE: Sta-Bo

Thank's for the info.. I have the Sta-Bo kit on my list of upgrades for the street glide and feedback like yours only further convinces me that it's something I should do. From what I have read about the FLHX and from discussions with others there are four things to consider in no particular order:

1) correcting geometry by dropping the front end one inch
2) swing arm bushing (sta-bo)
3) engine / trans alignment & stability(TXR / Ultra-Ride / True-Trak)
4) tires (Metzler 880's etc)

I took care of #1 with the Race-Tech lowering / Suspension kit.. BIG difference.. #4 is next up for me.. Tires make a HUGE difference whether it's on your bike or car good tires are immediately felt over mediocre factory crap. #2 will be next up and I still haven't figured out which of the engine / trans supports I like... True-Trak seems to be the most popular and it's what Fat Baggers is using on their sweet rides.. Hmm.. More investigation is warranted here..
