Ok I will go drain that, spray all the bolts down with some PB Blaster and sit and read this damn manual with a box of tissues for my tears. oh and get a beer.. cant forget that....
Just be careful removing that exhaust! You will scratch it up pretty bad if you get in a hurry. Also ensure the cable is long enough for your new bars before you buttom it all up. (Ask me how I know). Its all pretty straight forward just take your time.
....and the threads on the end of the cable sleeve that go into the cover will make you think they are wrong 'cause they thread in on a little 'off' angle. Remember that. If you have the correct cable they will go, it will just blow your mind for awhile........in my case a LOOOOONG while. No swear words there I assure you. Put new O-ring there too, and not TOO tight.

If you want to go back with stock pipes you should be able to get a good deal from the many that have changed out their exhaust and will sell you them cheap. Either that or get it welded.
