Love the color scheme. Go Pokes! Maybe...just maybe if the lid color came down onto the bags an inch or so in the front and an 2 or 3 inches in the back in a sweeping arch it wouldn't look so "blocky".... not that there's anything wrong with that! You have done a great job!
I teach at a local community college and they have an auto body repair class that did it for me. Paint is all House of Color. Tangerine orange and diamond black with silver stripe. Tough bike to paint. Tried black lids and it didn't suit me and a stripe down the bag looked like Tony Tiger. Thanks for your posts.
I like it......I thought ya had a 'orange on top..black on bottom" theme going till I saw the tank was black on top....still looks good and you won't have to worry about running into the same paint job somewhere
Glenn, the bike looks great; huge change from the birch white, and I like the orange/black seperated with silver--been thinking about using those same colors on my birch white '04 TPI.
Props to your school's paint shop.
Give the them a chance to put some orange/silver stripe on the side covers.
And props to them for filling in the rivet holes left when the stock hockey pucks were removed and the flush mount chrome push button latches were installed.
