yeah i put one on mine as well but i did cut it down a little so it didnt look so funky. had to bevel the sides and drill new holes in metal bar that goes down into the base. looks pretty good and hits me lower on my back were i needed it.
got pics? How hard was it to shorten the bar? How much did you cut it down? Cmon, help the brothas out. I agree it is way too tall.

i put a mustang one piece on my 08 rg. always liked them. while it is comfy, i wanted the back rest that i'd had on my previous bike. the parts guy talked me into getting the harley bracket and back rest. i can't stand it. it's too far forward and too high. i'm going to order the mustang like i should have done in the first place. i know it works.
I've got one on my SG. I bought the adjustable backrest from HD. I had to shim up the front with some washers to give me some more room, it was pushing me too far forward in the stock configuration. I don't use it much, but I'm sure I'll be using it on my ride to Milwaukee this summer for the celebration...
