Handlebar Internal Wiring
Do you have to ripp apart the left hand grip when you run internal wiring? I have heated grips on my RK Custom, so I would like not to destroy it if possible. Thanks.

On a recent bar change (bars cracked in half) I was able to pullmy left handgrip off without cutting it in half...took a bit of strength and a lot of pulling and twisting but got it off. I also tried to slide a small flat bladed screwdriver in thereto squirt some WD-40but I had some of those HD grips with thechrome on it (don't recall the style) so I couldn't. It's do-able but will try your patience.
Don't know what you are exactly doing (bar swap-out?), if you're doing internal wiring...when you run your wires through the bars...use a lot of baby powder on the wires..makes sliding the wires through a lot easier.

No you don't, but slip a needle tip from a air gun under the grip and wrap one finger around the end with the needle [towards the risers] pull the trigger and slide it off.
