There's a first time for everyone. Sounds like they were honest, kept at it til they got it right, and stayed in touch with you. Shoot straight with me and treat me, the customer, with respect is all I ask. I'm glad you're happy.
Did he include an air/fuel ratio graph with it?? Can you post the sheet?? If you ever get to a major rally and Doctor Dyno is there let him tune it it is money well spent. He has a site that tells where he is going to be you might want to check it out. There are other places as good as he is, but probably none better.
+1 on Doctor Dyno. I had the good Dr. tune my bike last year @ M.B. Spring rally, he did an excellant job. My bike was 96" then. I will go see the good Dr. again this May & let him tune my 103" Stage II w/ 255's. I would assume that my bike is close to what yours is, since I have same exhaust etc. If at all possibe, would you post your Dyno Sheet? Would really like to see it & even save it for future reference.
I just e-mailed my tuner and asked him if he could e-mail the chart to me so I can post it on here. If he can't or doesn't, I'll find a way to get it scanned so I can post........... right now the best I could do would be to take a digital picture of it and then post it. I guess I'll try that if all else fails.
Sounds too me like you found one of them rare good dealers, stay with them. My dealer is the same way, they know me by name and greet me as soon as I walk through the door, always eager too show me things not released to the public yet, also give me 20% off.
Your #'s are about right for a flat top piston motor w/255's. Maybe only off by a couple hp and a little torque at the bottom. 255's usually come on close to 100 ft lbs by 2500-3000 rpms and 82-85 hp is average. Your still a little rich on the bottom and the top end which could be causing the late torque and lower HP. Overall its about what we see with that combo!
ok guys, now that I have my feet wet, I plan to ride the crap out of this thing all season. With the set-up I have now, can anyone recommend any change (heads, cams, etc.) that would give a noticable difference without spending a fortune?
