2008 Handlebar mod?????
Does anyone remember the post about notching bars so they will fit 2008 FLTR. I tried searching but couldn't find it. It had drawings and what you had to do to get it done. I seen Dawgs pictures of the sensor, but thats not the post I was needing. I think you were suppose to cut 1/2" off if I remember. Khromewerks new bars won't be out till May and that ain't soon enough. So I need to make some.

Start by cutting the 1/2 inch off. I took mine to a machinist to go the notches with the old handlebars, the sensor and the flanders drawing. He told me he was glad I took the sensor so he could get a snug fit and the sensor not rock back and forth like it would have from the drawing. It seems to be a few thousands off. He did a very professional job and they look factory as opposed to if I would have used a dremel tool.

Thanks for the info guys. Ive got Khromewerks sweeper bars ordered. I've got them on my 04 RG and my buddy wants them on his 08 RG. KW is going to have them in May but we are going on a long ride before then. So a modding we shall go.
