I recently purchased a 06 Road King Custom. I have ordered the V&H Oval slip-ons and plan to add a SE Air Filter. My question is if I go with the SERT will there be a map provided by HD with the SERT that will allow my ride to run well enough until I get to a dyno??? I have looked through the SERT owners manual and they show several different maps that are included with the software, but none of them are for any kind of aftermarket pipes. Would a map for a bike with SE slip-ons, SE air filter and stock ECU be a good enough starting point until I got to the dyno??? Any help is appreciated.
I would love to get it all done at the same time. However the dealer in my town does not have a dyno and there is no other options in my town for a dyno so I would have to travel to get it done. Closest dealer with a dyno is about 100 miles away. Also I am capable of ordering the SERT and installing it myself providing there is a map included with it that would be close enough for my application. By doing this it would save me $150-$200 that the local dealership wants to install the part. The last reason I am asking is that the money is a bit tight right at this time to go to the dyno.
You should be OK. Most dealers that install SERTS can get it close enought to run pretty good. Just don't wait too long to get the dyno done. You won't be able to dyno it until at least the 1000 mile service.

That's why it's not worth people paying the $150 for the crappy download when you can do it yourself and put that money towards the cost of the SERT and then Dyno tune it when get money or the time.
