Smart Siren and Pager testing??
Anyway, I've read all the instructions and will be doing the install this weekend....I can see how to mate the pager to the bike, but is there a "test mode", or any good way to test that the pager is actually working without setting off the siren intentionally?? I know the thing is loud and I was hoping to avoid putting my neighbors into a panic, but just because lights flash when you mate the pager to me doesn't mean its really working.....I want to make sure. If anyone has found a reliable way to test I would appreciate any advice.
I am a bit dissapointed in the distance. If I park out front, the signal will sometime give up if I am seated at the back of the restaurant. When outside, it works for about 2 blocks. AND THAT IS ALL. Even with a full battery, parking outside my office building, it quits reaching the device when I walk inside. The crappy part is, the only way to resync the device is to have the bike turned on and then back off again. They need the device to attempt to re-establish communication with the bike when it looses connectivity.
