Great choice although I have a Roady, there are so many things I like about the SG. Love that color too.
How the hell are you going to be able to sleep until you get it?
In the meantime, get on this forum and learn as much as you can. You may also want to order a shop manual so you have it when the bike arrives. (not that you'll need it, but it never hurts to be ready)
June...good luck with that wait! I made my deal in March and I still have 21 days to shipping! I'm already bouncing off the walls and have half the accessories catalog memorized - I think I bought the other half - \
I, too, favor the RG a bit over the SG... my wife does not like the RG fairing, but she does like me, so there is no accounting for her taste, LMAO.
I have one question for you. You said you are waiting all the way until June to purchase the bike. Do you know that HD announces their '09 line up in July? Heck, if I was going to buy a new bike, and was going to wait until June, I would stick it out another month... just to see what is on the table for the new models. IMO...
That's the other part that is in question. That if I am waiting until June should I just wait until the 09 in introduced, which means waiting longer[&o] . I really can't see them doing much else than color options with the new engine, abs, brembo brakes, six speed tranny, new throttle, music upgrade. I think they are going to ride this wave for awhile................SHOOOOT! I'm getting my bike in June. Or am I?
I only have one rule when spending money on a vehicle. Never buy last years model with less than 6 months remaining until the new model is released. You will have a two year old bike with 1 year of riding on it. Just my 2 cents

Why wait until June? The dealers selection is very good at the start of the season. If you are going to wait, wait until July. That way you can have the choice of the 2009 or you should be able to get a leftover 2008 under msrp (colors will be limited).
Im with everybody else too. Since you are waiting untill june, just wait for the 09's. They may have the FBW perfected after the first year. There might be other subtle changes too. For instance, in 08 the bikes come with ids already, no fuel equalizing line under fuel tank, a engine strut at top of front head, ect.. Ya just know there will be improvements on the 09.

Just my 2 cents.... That is stupid. Why wait 6 months to ride when things won't really change that much. I got a 6 gallon tank now instead of a 5. But can't see any major changes coming. I am happy with my SG for years to come.
