I need some opinions,I have 07' RKC it came from the dealer equipped with a set of pipes and a SERT amoung other things, anyway it has an issue at about 3500 rpm in the upper gears 4th, 5th, 6th it seems to have a flat spot kind just seems to be a little dead. So I take it in and they say yup your right, when we put the acc. on that bike we didn't have a map for the pipes so we just gave it a generic map, but we can do a full map for about 350.00. My question is should it not be a warrenty issue, and if so how should I handle it, I mean I don't want to be a Dick but I do want it fixed. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated...

if they used aftermarket pipes (not HD), then you are simply guessing on what map to use. The SERT maps are designed for stricly HD pipes or AC, not aftermarket. To get it right, you can tinker with it, or have it dyno'd to get a custom map built. Depending on what you paid for the SERT, you may end up paying for a dyno tune. With my V&H Ovals and AN BS, one of the SERT maps was close, but it took a custom map built from a dyno tune to get it right, and richen up the AFR as I wanted, to help the heat issue.
