06 Street Glide ----

Anybody want to give some imput on Hooker slip-ons. Pretty much have made my mind up on them, along with the PCIII and SE air filter.

Thanks

A friend of mine has them, and they sound great. The tuneable baffles are good too. Sound good at idle, not too loud at cruise speed, but when you really get on it, they can be really loud.

They are good pipes and produce a great sound. When using these with the stock head pipes I would recommend setting the left side pipe to the torque setting and the right side to the horsepower setting. This makes the system act like more of a 2-1.

I've got them on my SG along with the SE intake and PCIII - same setup you are contemplating. They sound awesome. I do like HDDUDE does- left side to torque, right side to HP. For my taste, they are the best sound I've ever heard on a bagger. Opinions will obviously vary. I'm getting the bike dyno'd this Saturday - can't wait to see the numbers. The Hookers aren't too loud at cruise like the previous poster said. They are VERY deep at idle and will wake the dead at full throttle. What I like about them is that they don't have that "tinny" sound that so many other mufflers do at idle. Basso profundo big time.

That's what I wanted to hear. Will be ordering them this week. Found em for $393 -- delivered.
UGGA - are they on yer scooter in the picture? I'm undecided on the style - - seems like there are alot more slash cut's out there than straight. Wish I could see what the straight cut looked like on a SG.

UDNUDN,

Yes those are the Hookers in the picture. Straight cuts would probably look nice. All depends on what you like.

I have them along w/ V&H true dual head pipes. I love them and just like someone else said "they sound good on idle, they are not too loud at cruising, but when you get on it they definitely let people know you are around".

Are they quieter than the V&H ovals at idle and cruising speeds?
