Never noticed how it's marked...............Mobil 1 15-50, full synthetic oil. Many people are using it with no problems at all, I've been using it since last summer with no problems either.
or the regular 15w-50 will work fine.............and you can ge the 15w-50 for $22 for a 5 qt jug.
Steve
Would that be the one that isn't marked as energy conserving?
I don't want to start another oil thread, but I do want to clarify my earlier question. Having read numerous threads in this forum about oil, it has been suggested that Mobil 1 15w-50 Syn is also a suitable motor oil alternative to be used in V-Twins. But because it is an automobile motor oil, it has additives (although minimal) that are not good for its use in the primary. I believe that motor oils having the "Energy Conserving" labeling are the ones that you do not want to use in your primary, but are acceptable for use in the crank. This is just my observation based on the information that I have read here in HDF.
