Just wanted to let you guys know i just put a set of Avon Venoms on my bike with a 150/80/16 on the rear. I must say that the ride and handling are superb. If any one isready for tires i highly recommend the Avon's. Oh by the way I have a 2007 RKC

I thought about those but chickened out and stuck with the Venom 140/90B16 77H, did you use the 77 H or the 77 V rated tyre, just curious because one is 150 mm (5.9")true width and the other is 157 mm (6.2") true width. I know either would be fine as the 77 V exceeds the specs of the 77 H.
What is the clearance like on the RKC (Is that Classic or Custom). I am guessing that the limiting point is belt to tyre clearance. If you get the chance I would be keen to know the actual measurement.
Just asking because I may follow your lead when I replace the rear.
I'm one more with RK Classic that switched to Avons just a couple weeks ago. Very pleased so far. Anxious to get some more miles on them. Curious of that tread pattern in the rain and bridge grates.
I'm also curious about the fitment of 150/80/16 rear instead of 140/90/16. Clearance is ok with no modifications? Any speedometer deviation?
Mine are 77H, WW. Didn't see any 77V option. Maybe not available in the WW?
By the way, found best price with Dennis Kirk, about $260, and another $50 to local shop for mount/balance.
