First off, congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum. Mine has 0.2 (Never driven) and has been sitting in my garage and it looks brand new. I've fired up the engine many times Are you sure you didn't hit something in your garage?
Come on guys whats the deal, wake up on the wrong side of bed??
Looks to me there is something red next to the bike, to the left, giving a red reflecton on the bike. The beat up looking areas are just dirt and smudges. Yes, vibration can make the fender shake and the facia shake, causing rubbing on eachother. This is very possible if things didn't get torqued all the way orlocktighted. I agree with the tape idea! I would even tell the dealer that and see what they say. 3M tape is very sticky, willallow and give the parts movement, and be a buffer/cushion inbetween so they don't rub, very good idea!

Looks like you are the only one that can see beyond the artifacts caused by the didital camera.
I regret that I have even posted the pictures at all. Looks like everyone is focusing on the reflections and smudges and not the poor fitting issue. I have tried to take better pictures but the stupid camera makes vivid black look gray and the dust specks and smudges lite up with the flash light. The red and blue tint that just a reflection. Actually, the bike in person looks very clean.
I have run the bike for about 10 minutes and the paint did get rubed off right where the fender and the facia meet in the corner.
Based on what I saw in that photo itis collision damage. The motor will not scrape, leave traces of red paint and move parts by force.
I agree, somebody whacked that back fender. And I'm betting it didn't come from the dealer that way. You can tell by the stress cracks in the paint. The gap is normal. I have looked at three SGs besides mine and they all have that same gap.

Calling someone a troll and bad mouthing people only pushes people away instead of helping. Usually people are more helpful, I don't understand the feedback.
You could try to shut the garage door some and turn the flash off to reduce the glare and try to take the picture again. Maybe pull the red car out too. Even if it is a little dark I can lighten the picture for you. Maybe you could see the area better then.
