I'm wanting to get some new wheels and tires and was trying to be cheap and save some money by getting chrome rotors instead of matching rotors...just curious to see how many people out there didn't buy matching rotors and just went with a basic chrome rotor... Also, could someone post a close up of the pic of a basic chrome rotor on a custom wheel just so I can see what the main difference in look is? Thanks to anyone who responds!
I have chrome rotors. They were installed by the previous owner. I am not familiar with matching rotors nor what you are referring to. Sorry... But a picture of mine can be seen here...
You can buy rotors that are identical to the rim that you buy...

I would take it you mean if you should buy the matching rotors that would match your new wheels, right? Well, going from personal experience, I'm having a hell of a time trying to match rotors to an older wheel right now. Found some that are close, but my advise is to cough up the additional $ to get the matching rotors with the wheels. The rotors on a touring bike is all you see on the touring bike front wheels, so make the rotors look as good as the wheel. If you install the polished HD rotors on the new wheels, it would look okay, but you will be spending additional $ when you decide you really should have gotten the matching rotors. IMHO.
