Bluerose, find a good airbrush artist, give him/her your ideas, and let him/her use their talent--way better than a pinstripe job, IMHO. Then have the airbrushed art clear-coated. You might decide you don't want/need a paint job.
Also, ditch the tank badges and decals on the gas tank and go with a blue rose--it'd be pretty classy and definitely unique. Just some ideas--you'll come up with something really nice, I'm sure.
I'm pretty sure my next project is to have my outer fairing air-brushed in a patriotic theme; the bike is birch white police model EG so the artwork should be interesting and colorful.
