It took 6 weeks but I finally got my 9 1/2 inch Clearview dark grey windhield.I tried a cheap 9" last year and hatedthe squeaking at idle. It was close to impossible to seethe front tire when wearing sunglasses. I removed the POS after 2 weeks.
The recurve on the new shield does an amazing job of diverting the wind. Even at 80 mph,I feel the air but not the sunglass ripping wind and the lower visibility is amazing for a dark shield. This is a very high quality item and I highly recommend it. The bike looks better and I can still see over the shield when I lean back on the backrest.
Clearview was very up front about the long shipping delay and theirtime estimate was accurate.I'll definitely buy from them again if I ever need a new shield.
How tall are you? I'm 6' and have been debating between the 8" and 9 1/2". I want to look over the shield. I taped my current 12" shield at the 9 1/2" mark and it looked as thoughthe tapewas in my lline of sight but wasn't sure. It's hard to tell without the actual shield.
Are you looking at the top edge or well over the top?
Streerunner, I just recently installed a 9 1/2 on my Ultra and I am 6 1". I look over the shield with no problems. Great product. You will not be disappointed.

RE: Just installed the Clearview shield
I'm 6'4" and run an 8", I'm actually thinking about going shorter since the recurve gives the effect of a taller shield. At 80mph plus protection is good
