led dip stick accurate
Hey guys ;
I did a search on this and got 10000 hits mostly asking where to buy, if it fits, etc so will ask here.
How accurate are the LED dip sticks? Even after an oil change mine doesn't seem
to show "full" very long. I don't appear to be using muchoil (no leaks anyway) and my pipes are clear.
I don't have the old dip that came with the bike.
Ideas ?

I find it very accurate. Don't forget, it will show a little low (one bar down)when engine is cold because the oil level when cold should show inbetween full and add a quart.
When engine is hot and after immediatly shutting down it will initially register HI.
You have to wait a minute or so until the oil settles and it will show full.
It's just a matter of learning how to use it.
