Jumping ship for a minute don't bash the Night Train guy. My dad Just ordered a 08 street glide and was curious about what 2 into 1 pipes and programmers your having the best luck with? I know nothing about it I've got a carb bike myself so I'm useless thanks in advance
I am a true dual person myself but from all the posts I have read about 2-1 it looks like most people are happy with the D&D Fatcat.
They say it gives the best performace out of the 2-1 's
As far as programmers go, I have the powercammander III and have had no problems at all with it and you can download the map for it right of their site. You may also want to have hime look into a SE AC kit or Ness ig sucker.
Thanks for the info guys one more question whats a SERT?
It's a HD part that allows changes to be made to the ECM. It's just a plug that allows cables to be hooked to a computer. Once the tune is done, it is removed and kept with the bike. Once it's used on a bike, it can only be used on that bike. It "marries" itself to that bike.
Obviously, HD doesn't want to make it to easy to mess with their ECM. They also want to make money when you do. They are a business afterall.
As far as - What's the BEST FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM... There are many. It really would depend on what the future plans may and how much $$$ he wants to spend...
Thundermax W\Auto Tune is one of the more advanced as it will change the set up as needed...
HD SERT and PCIII Great Systems but to fine tune the system it really would require a DYNO and Dyno = $$$
V&H FuelPak - Very basic system that does work well - But limited on anything above a Stage 1
2-into-1 agaiin many
Thunderheaders Sound Good LOUD - improves performance - But will discolor in quickly
V&H Pro-Pipe - Well built popular system
D&D Fat Cats are a very good system and has a good following here on the forum
