I did search so I know where all you guys mount your Toll Devices and also I know how some of you are afraid of big brother watching you.
What I am interested in is if anyone has mounted one of these devices inside the fairing. Especially EZ PASS guys. If so, where did you mount it? On top of the radio, on the underside of the fairing, etc.
Mine is mounted to the inside cover of the rightside saddle bag. I hit the toll so the bag is in the middle of the lane when I pass thru. No problems so far in N. Jersey, I'm running up to N.York state in a few weeks hope no problems up there. Haven't used it on the high speed lanes either andI ussually go thru the tolls under 20 mph.
I mounted my "Sunpass" near the radio on my RG and it didn't work consistantly. My thinkingis that there was some sort of interference going on. Moved it back on the tank in a little leather bag and no more problems.
Also you will have to change the battery occasionally so how much trouble is it to get under the fairing? How about mounting it under the Tourpak or saddlebag lid where you can get to it when you need to.

NJ EZ PASS batteries last 5-7 years and are not replaceable. They somehow monitor the strength of your signal and when it gets low they send you a new one.
I mounted mine about 4" down from the top edge of the fairing, right above the radio. It is directly under the eagle in my pic. Works the nuts.[sm=biker.gif]

I have my ez pass velcroed (is that a word?) to the inside of my tour pak.Don't have a rack on top of it . Works on Ac xway high speed lanes and on Nj parkway . Had some non readings going to laconia last year but the billing showed up on the monthly statement

Happy to hear that. Gonna give it a try. Thanks for responding.
