[8D]I have an '07 Ultra classic, stripped down to look like a Street Glide. I removed the rear cargo box and the grandpa seat. Yes I did keep both for those long road trips. But now that I took the cargo box off I lost those extra brake lights and now I only have the single light on the fender. Any ideas on how to add some lights, but still keeping the Street Glide look. Some one had mentioned to me to wire the turn signals??????????? What to you think????
Yeah - it's a plug an' play kit, has the replacement lens an' the harness. Easy one. Might also consider the saddlebag "spoilers" - has led's that will also serve as brake/turn/run lights....
They have different variationsof plug in brake modules so you can pick one that suits your needs.
I have one of theirscalled a Tailstopper and am very happy with it. The turn signals come on when you hit the brake but are off other wise. Really lights things up when you hit the brake. One light runnning, three lights for brake. You just need to change the yellow lenses to red.
I have had a run/turn/brakle module before and didn'tthink there was enough differencebetween the brightness of the brakes and the running lights. I ride in traffic daily and want to make sure they know I hit the brake.
I just put on the Kuryakyn Panacea led taillights and led rear signal inserts...really noticable...plug-n-play. About $230 for both sets from www.easternperformance.comand that is free shipping as well.
Some people on the forum say that they are not bright...they must have cataracts.
I don't have any pics of my lights installed...I did see them on an Ultra in storage at Fargo Harley Davidson and thought they were quite bright...ordered them immediately from Eastern Performance.
Following link has pics of what they do and it looks to be about the same price as Eastern Performance... www.customdynamics.com/harley_turn_signal_panacea.htm ...they do not look that bright in the pictures, but trust me...they are. I have only had my bike out in the daylight so far this year and I can see in my mirrors that it seems to get the drivers attention behind me.
