I plan to, but I already know it will be in the RV, trailering the bike.
SD (San Diego) to SD is too long a ride for my old butt.

Not to sound like a complete newbie (I have had my bike almost a whole week), but what are the dates?

I'm going for the first time. Riding over from Washington State.

Hope to camp somewhere . . .no reservations.

Heading out on July 31st I will be there thru the 3rd. Staying in Spearfish. Unless gas gets really bad, over $4, then I may have to re-think. If it happens I will offer up my room to someone who wants to take it over.

We are leaving NC on Aug 1st. Definitely riding with the way gas prices are and I am glad the SG gets 45+ mpg. No way could I afford pulling the hauler up there getting 9-10 mpg. Should cost around $350 for gas round trip on the bike vs $1700 round trip driving the truck with the trailer...huge differance.

The plan is to leave KC on the morning of the 2nd. Spend one night on the way and arrive Sunday afternoon/evening. We're staying at Glencoe campground. We'll be there through Thursday or Friday (7th or 8th).

RHarrison what route are you planning on taking? We're planning on avoiding interstates whenever possible.

Oh, and Dawg. If we can get together I owe you a couple of beers!
