I went thru 2 replacement sets of endcaps in under a year of owning Rineharts...........each time customer service told me they had the problem fixed and the new set would remain black and not change color.............BS!
When I got my last set of replacement endcaps from them, I took the Rineharts off and sold them.

I have come up with a way to use turn downs on my Rineharts. Used the Kerkers that were on my Supertrapps (same as HD / SE). They look great and it does a great job of muffling the sound too.

No more goofy purple/brownish end caps for me. [:'(]I even gave them a chance to sell me the new Bub7 collector, so I would not have to take the pipes off. Oh well, I gots me a shiney new D&D Fatcat instead. Much higher quality pipe - glad I switched
