got mine at a bike show, same thing as in j&p only I saved about $12.

I bought the chrome ones with the eagle on top of the post. Very nice. Well Built.Won't damage the chrome on the tour pack luggage rack. ony disadvantage to the one I bought is that the pivot point to fold it down is very stiff, it will acually pivot on the luggage rack if I don't hold the mounting bracket. I'm hoping it limbers with age.

Remember one thing respect the flag. when it gets dark roll it up & put a rubber band around it, unless you find a way to light it up. If it gets tattered or torn please replace it with a new one. There are a lot of young men & womenwho have risked, some even lost, their lives for it.

My father pounded that into me when I was younger & It is still true today.

This is the Kuryakyn flag that I bought from J&P and was not happy with the material that it was made of. It is well designed and looks great, but is made of a cheap metal that couldn't hold up to vibration. It has adjustable tanges that allow several points of adjustment. The constant vibration broke off all of the tanges and made it worthless.

PROPAD: http://www.thepropad.com/p-32-rfm-fx...rade-flag.aspx

I called them direct and asked about fixed versus folding mounts - "if you plan to ride on the highway with your flag, get the fixed mount."

My 10x15has always been on the scoot for added visibility - lots of highway miles - no problemsafter two riding seasons - flag is only slightly tattered.

SUPERB QUALITY - CANNOT BE ANY BETTER IF IT WAS MADE OF PURE SILVER!!!

Our Fixed 3 Parade mount is similar to the popular fold down except for the folding action. This is a solid or fixed mount for those who don't need to fold the mount out of the way. This hand polished, stainless steel flag mount comes with your choice of 10"x15" parade flag andincludes Allen keys for easy installation. Like our other mounts, it is 100% Made in the USA and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty (excluding flag).

Picked mine up at the HD Dealer- Nothing fancy - Plastic mount- under $20 - Flags do fade and tatter after a summer of riding - They have a kit were you can just change out the flag.

Clip on not to good for high speeds. I have lost a couple
HD sells a good one but your not allowed to say that here.
I am supose to to say go to walmart they sell one cheaper.
The hd one is low and mounts a bit better and is black
Walmart is taller weaker mount and is white.

I have the fixed mount from Pro Pad (11x15). It is a very good quality piece.

Look's like the Propad is the best system for what I'm looking for. Thanks for all the input, I'll be making an order...

Default Motorcycle Flag Mounts

If you plan to ride on the highway the best flag mounts are X50 Flag mounts. They actually allow you to fly bigger flags on your bike without them wearing out. You can actually go as fast as you want without any worries about the bracket getting loose are shredding your flags. Plus they stand behind their products to make sure you are 100% satisfied. https://x50flagmounts.com/

X50 Flag Mount with 2 flag option.
