Update: Battery reinstall
Just an FYI update to my previous post

Just put the battery back in, turned the ignition on, everything lit up as usual except the the red key light flashed once, hit the starter, nothing, oh oh, turned the switch to acc., tried the radio, it works, back to on, no red key light, hit the starter, fired right up, WHEW. Maybe it needed a few seconds to reset itself or something? I don't know but it's back to normal anyways.
