the update gives the radio and./or mp3 CD player the ability to display the artist name and song title. there's been some people who have claimed a reduction in volume when the upgrade to 8.19 has been done..
If you're doing the upgrade, you should step thru each update individually.. I went from 9.0 up to 8.19 and encoutered cutting out and skipping on my mp3 cd's.. I went back and redid each upgrade seperately, and haven't had a problem
if you do the upgrades, be sure to turn your volume down on the radio.. takes about 15 minutes to do each upgrade.. and the radio resets itself during the upgrades
