When trying to set a VALUE on a motorcycle... KBB & NADA are a joke for selling prices\buying... They are set-up mainley for Cars & Trucks...
The Dealers use it for trade-in information..
I agree... I wouldn't bother at all with KBB or NADA. Go to cycletrader and find bikes that are similar to see what they are selling for on there. Then, go to ebay and look at the completed listings (option in the upper right hand corner). You can look at Craigslist in your area to see what they are selling for around you. I've sold quite a few bikes in the past and KBB and NADA are always way off.
Hope that helps...
I agree also for selling a bike. But buying one where you want to get the best deal. That piece of info can be valuable. Information is the key in all transactions. Low side (trade in), High side (what the dealer sells for) and mid range (advertisded private sellers). Use of all the information can get you the best deal whether buying or selling.
