My genuine HD cooler bag leaks when the ice melts..................................
I had four inches of water soaking my tools, maps, gloves, etc. last time I used it. Couldn't find any holes in the liner. Now I will just put a trash bag inside it before using it again.
Thanks for the heads-up Devil Dog. I got the HD cooler bag for an Xmas gift but haven't used it yet. I think there are some aftermarket companies (Hopnel?) that make cooler bags. I have a Hopnel saddlebag liner duffel that works great.
each of your bags will hold an 18 pack plus a bag and a half of ice. MOCO was kind enough to furnish the drain holes for you. but beware, on a long hot summer's ride, your buddies will ask you to drop to the back of the group. Something about cold rain drops and a blue clear sky.
Don't ask me how I know

We have had the problem of the ice melting and getting everything wet. My wife got some of those blue bags that you freeze the night before. They seem to hold up ok and keep it cool for a day trip.
Been using my HD slant cooler for about 4 years. It does leak but will hold a 12 pak and enough ice to keep it til it's all drank up! I have used just the bag before with lots of ice, melts really fast! I have a 2 into 1 exhaust and always put the cooler on the side with no pipe, less heat! The HD coller is also a great size to carry with you when like at a rally and park your bike and leavi it for a couple of hours....
