iv seen TONS of posts here where you guys do modifications to your scoots....SERT, true duels, air cleaners....you name it. my question is this...by doing this to your bike does it make it any more prone to reapirs. as opposed to a stock bike?

A lot depends on how far ya take things, ah think. Stage 1 should be no biggie - beyond there, then it's gonna depend. Don't know many folks w/Stage 2/3's that've run up a lotta miles....usually not their style of ride.

Any modification could cause additional expense if it is not set up right the first time.
