So it will not fit if you have the fairing lower glove box?
They do offer a shorter filter to work with the lower fairings at an additional price.
Love mine, i have used a force XR-2 and they perform the same. I did go with the stage one download. My knees don't hit and no issues in the rain so far.
the drawback i can see to the heavy breather would be removing all the bugs from it after a ride. i suppose the rain sock would not hurt the flow much and make it much easier to clean than getting out a toothpick to remove the bugs from between the pleats.
Took mine off to install the lowers, but here's a pic of it back then. Never had a problem with bugs. I kept the pre-filter sock on, helps keep out bugs and rain, can't see any significant airflow interference with the sock on. K&N has these same socks available for a lot of other filter applications as well.
