I'm just hoping for 4 more years, then all my kids will be graduated from high school and then I can rest a bit easier. 17 years in this place and I'm ready for a change. Wife makes more than me, so I'm hoping for a change in job scenery

YodaddyKeith
Where are you working? I need a job soon when I get back as Michigan stinks in that department.

As for HD, looks like when the stock goes down it's time to buy and ride it out. As for bike prices they may dip but a cut in production should bring up the used bike values and possibly go back to the wait in line order system again for new. Lets just hope they don't move manufacturing to Iraq, Mexico,Indiaor China like the rest. If you want to see where it all is going follow the money trail...............................right to the Arab countries. I've never seen so many rich people in my life, they have so much they use bricks of it in their BBQ to cook with, did I mention the amount of SERVANTS they have? I bet if you dig deep enough you'll find they alsoOWN us sad to say.

I'm OK now..........................I better stop.

I too have stated here that we are in a serious recession and many here responded that all was cool andI was full of crap.
Serious recession? LOL. Unemployment is 5.1% InAZ it is 4%. Gas is high but adjusted for inflation it is about 1981 when gas spiked.

Back in 1979-81 we were in a serious recession. 10-15% mortgages, 18% car loans, gas limited to 8 gallons and pumps closed by noon. Unemployment was twice as high, factory layoffs by the tens of thousands.

This isn't even close to a SERIOUS recession.

If that's the case, I'm wondering if the bike I ordered will be produced and shipped to the east coast ?? In March I ordered a pewter pearl R/G, with a due date to be delivered sometime in May.....hmmmmmmm, now I'm curious !!!

Thank god I'm still working.
Things will turn around they always do but don't look for Wall Street to calm down until after the elections.
Investors are always this way with a lame duck president and not knowing who will be taking over.
Once they know then they will move their money aroundbased on where they think the new administration is going to take usand settle down for the long haul.

Yodaddy, interesting article. Kinda lends a little credence to the rumors of one or more new smaller bikes for 08. Might just hold off on that Vstar 1100 for wifey for awhile.

JohnnyD....

We got the word today that our new hire just got orders to Iraq.........I suffered(enjoyed) 6 months overtime waiting to hire him...now that he is hired I get 12-18 months overtime while he plays in the sand....I want a VACATION!

I'm sick of overtime! I broke 100K in 2007 and the IRS gave it all to single moms who will never clean my house or cook for me!......I wish we would hire an illegal so I can get some time off!

All I do is work and buy parts...come home and screw them on, then go back to work......I need time to ride to distant places...

My life sucks....I make big bucks, then spend it on chrome thatI install and polish at work.....I have to hire my grass cut and my laundry washed cause I'm always at work............

.....don't know where you live, but here in Boston...100K is barely enough if you got kids and a house.....
