Hawg Wired in DFW
Does anyone know of any place in the DFW area that has the Hawg Wired wiring harness to keep the factory hand controls in place when swapping to a sony radio in stock?
I got a wild hair up my A$$ and decided to do the radio and speaker was this weekend and need this, but don't want to wait and have to order it.

They both sell the harness, buy I could not find the part number on biketronics site.
Here it is on HawgWired http://hawg-wired.com/product_info.p...products_id=31
I have called Stokers and every HD Dealer that I can think of even had two of then tell me that if I just plug in the Sony Head Unit that it would just work. Had to laugh at them and just hang up.
If I can't find it I may just buy the PAC units that we used to install in cars back in the day and I will use that. That is a little more work on my end, but at least I can program it to do what I want it to do.

You can shoot this guy an email; he's in CA, but may know someone in DFW:
hd-dude@ljsgroup.net
He's a Hawg-Wired distributor.

I will give that a try, I have already called all of the distributors listed on the Hawg-Wired website and no one knows where I can get one locally. I have pulled the trusty wiring diagrams out and looks like I will just be using a PAC and making my own. I talked to car toys and they have PACs in stock so I will run over there and then stop by radio shack for a handful of resistors.
This is a little more fun anyway. Well in my opinion anyway and costs about 60 bucks vs 150.

Be interested to learn how the PAC works for you. I found the AFTER I did the Biketronics installation. Here's a link to their website with the wiring diagram for the HD installation. You probably already have this, but other readers may be interested:

I will let you know how it works out. The car toys that told me they had them in stock lied and they don't so I am trying to track one down now.
Your link was just the main one to the PAC site. Here are a couple good ones for those that want to attempt this on there own as well.
Here is the wiring schema for the HD Hand Controls

Once you have everything wired up then here is how you program the PAC unit

About 60 bucks depending on where you can find them plus a handful of resistors etc. The PAC units are not plug in play by any means. I got my head unit (ended up with an Alpine iDA-X001), but I am having problems finding the PAC unit still.
I just emails tech support at HawgWired to see if I can use their adapter still even though I have an Alpine head unit and just cut the end off and re-wire it.
