Default Aftermarket radios

Want to install an aftermarket radio and speakers in a 2001 FLHTC that I am rebuilding. I see that there are a number of companies that have kits and wiring harnesses to install Sonys. I have never had good luck with Sonys and would rather install a Pioneer but I still want to use the hand controls. Can a Pioneer be installed that way? If so, anything special that needs to be done? Thanks in advance.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!

Call Mike at Biketronics, I think Poineer also work with their kits. For the most part all Pioneer head units use mostly Sony componets. Sony has come a long way in the past few years. For the price you cant beat them.

Biketronics is geared towards Sony primarily, but I think you can use Pioneer units with the kit. There's another brand out there that will work with almost any unit, it does require splicing and more know-how with the wiring and such. (Can't think of the name off the top of my head, do a search in here).
