Default INSTALLING LEVERS

i bought a manual before i tackled swapping out the levers but i cant find anything about changeing the levers themselves .
any pointers , especiall stuff that will keep me from screwing something up?

ya, turn upside/down and check em out.
Takes about 5 minutes to do

Brake is easier. Be sure to be real careful with the micro switch in there though.

Pop the retaining ring on each one, pull out the clevis pin and the levers come out. With the clutch you can collapse the adjuster at the downtubes first and then pull the clevis pin and remove the clutch cable from the lever. After lever is installed, readjust the clutch cable. With the brake lever, as mentioned, just be careful of the brake switch.

DADAWG, for future reference the clutch lever removal is covered in the portion of the manual on clutch cable adjustment; Sec. 2.22 in my '04 SM. Your removal will be different because of the starter interlock switch (similar to the front brake switch in the right lever).
