I don't know if I have'nt found a setting or if I need to get out the warranty. The volume of the rear is the same as the front, but whenI get moving, the front speaker volume increases like it's supposed to but the rear volume does'nt move. So at highway speed if I fade to the rear I can barely hear anything. I have Hogtune speakers and I think the fronts sound great. Can't wait to hear all four at the same time. Anyone have an answer?
You should be able to press the audio button on the left handlebar switch housing and scroll through a menu that includes "fader" that allows you control front and rear bias--like a car, really; you can do the same for left and right bias.
Don't they give you a manual on the sound system???
ask pez to comment on that. I dont believe there is a left /right fader just front to rear and just push in on the left handlebar button that is not marked ptt.
I have an 05 Ultra and when I'm highway riding I can't hear the rear speakers either. I believe with the speed of the bike and the wind, you won't hear the rear speakers. Maybe if you add a large amp and fade out the front speakers this would help.
Did your 07 ultra come with the rear speakers mounted or did you just add speakers or use an aftermarket setup for the rear?
If stock OEM (and I don't have an ultra or rear speakers).
The owners manual (weak as it is) does cover these settings to an extent.
You used to get a separate book and vhs video covering the premium sound system.
It's on CD now I think.
So you should have that for more indepth info. Unless HD discontinued that.
But the 07service manual will provide all the basic info and the electronics manual
explains how to do self diagnostics on the radio.
I was out riding yesterday but did not notice if the back did increase volume or not. I guess I need to pay attention. Today we are to get 3 inches of rain so maybe another time.
