My question is does the Aux switch have power run to it. I was thinking about hooking up an amp under the fairing and was thinking about a place other then running a wire to the battery to hook up at. I dont mind running a power wire to the battery, just was wondering if that switch would work?
RTFB
In the owners manual it tells you where the plug is under the seat. Go to the dealer & order the male part of the plug then you can hook up power that can be switched on & off . Hope I was helpfull
Duhhhh!!! would be pretty much worthless without it. doncha think!?
Ever hear of buying the SERVICE MANUAL AN ELECTRONIC MANUAL FROM

Yes, the O/R wire going to the switch is powered (12V) when the ignition is on, and O is toggled by the AUX switch. For an amp you'd want to splice into O/R, and although I don't think the draw would be a problem for that circuit, some amps (like Hogtunes) requires a constant 12V source, i.e. wired to the battery, and is switched by an ignition source like the cig lighter. I'm not sure how it would work if both circuits were powered on at the same time. You should look at the instructions and see how the amp is wired, and if it only needs one igntion source the O/R wire on the AUX switch should work unless you're installing an amp that draws an extraordinary amount of power.
