Default Lowers, vent or no vent?

I've decided to get lowers for my SG. Any opinions on getting the ones with the vent or with no vent?

Vented. If you are going to use them in hot or cold weather, you will appreciate being able to open and close them.

If you git the lowers without a vent put a vent in. The vent allows you to channel air to blow in on yer engine and help cool it off some.

Vented from a functional standpoint AND cost. The vented come from HD with the glove boxes, the unvented do not--at least according to the HD P&A catalog description and info I've received from HD parts folks. The list price diff is 100 bucks, but that's less than the cost of adding the glove boxes to unvented lowers. And the diff drops if you buy from a 20% off list dealer, e.g. Zanotti's, etc.

Definitely get the vented ones. I am going to see if I can keep mine on this summer. Last year I took them off about this time. Since I like the way the bike looks with the lowers, I thought I would try to leave them on this time. I don't think I would consider leaving them on if they weren't vented.

Get the vented lowers with the quick detach kit. Then you can vent them or not, or even quickly remove them during the hot part of the year, if you choose.

Vented is definitely the way to go. It gives you the open or closed option for hot/cold weather.
