Gamma742 had an unshorn one on his bike over the weekend and I sort of like the "wild" look but it was thicker then thick. He got it from AlaskanLeather.com. Maybe I'll call them and see if they have something in the color I want that is natural but a bit shorter on the hair.

Wooden beads.................
Once you try them, sheepskin is a thing of the past.
Hubby bought beads for his seat based on some recommendations on the GW forum. We bought a set from walmart (they fit a car) that he is cutting down) because he wasn't sure. We got them on sale for $4.50 He's just worried about the slide factor at a stop [&:]
I have a nerve problem on my left side due to my back. I bought a Mustang seat for the support and so far I'm liking it (ok only have 50 miles or so on it), but just want that little bit of cush to help the nerve. The beads won't work for me.
Just got my unshorn black a week ago and so far like it.
Go on their website and check out all the colors they have.
If you order from them on the internet use the "dead sheep"
code for a 10% discount. Actually they let me use it on a phone order.
Mine is black and Shone... Got it from Alaska Leathers and like mentioned above, use the code "Dead Sheep" and get 10% off. So far I love mine, got a little hot on the tush the other day, we hadn't had any real hot weather yet, so that'll be the determining factor whether or notI only use it in the winter..."D"
I got mine at target.com, they don't have them in the stores. Several colors and it's a whole pelt. I was able to make one for me and wifey for my EGC and had enough left over to make one for her Vstar 1100. No straps but We've had no issues with it sliding. The hide side seems to stick very well to my Mustang seat and her Yamaha (corbin) seat.
