I had the HB 125 on my '03 RoadKing and I just put the HD automatic primary chain tensioner on my '05 Ultra. Of the two I far prefer the new Harley model. The HB 125 was fine at cruise speeds but at speeds below 15mph it caused the bike to surge.
The HD automatic tensioner allows my bike run with less vibration at all speeds and RPMs and there is no surging at slow speed. It's one of the best additions I've made to my bike.
Over the years the M6 has been the industry standard. They have the reputation for being the best for a reason. HD was under negotiation with Hayden to use them exclusively but all of a sudden talks broke off, gee I wonder why? If anyone is interested in purchasing directly from Hayden they sell them for around $109, Wallyâs Cycle World has them on special all month for $59.95. Talk about a screaming deal. Those of you who donât have one should jump all over this. Just passing along a dealâŚ
HD Automatic Primary Chain Tension Adjuster $99.95 plus tax, M6 - anywhere from $59.95 up to $109...Catch them on sale from the bigger on-line sellers.
