I HAVE A 2005 FLHPI AND IT IS UNDER THE RECALL. I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO GET FIXED BECAUSE IT IS ACTUALLY RUBBED THROUGH TTHE RUBBER LINES AND I DONT FEEL SAFE RIDING IT. THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO AND AFTER CALLING EVERYDAY, CALLING HARLEY CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY HAVE SOME OF THE PARTS BUT NOT ALL. CANT SEEM TO GET THE RECALL ORDER FORM TO WORK RIGHT OR SOME BULL LIKE THAT. HD CUST SERVICE TELLS ME THEY HAVE THE RIGHT NUMBERS AND CALLS MY DEALER TO MAKE SURE ITS DONE RIGHT. GUESS WHAT-STILL NO PARTS. ANYONE ELSE HAVING ISSUES GETTING RECALL WORK DONE?
[sm=exactly.gif]2005 thru 2007 it was optional on police bikes...it had the nissin controller and hayes brakes. 2008 optional also...delphi controller and brembo brakes.
NOPE AVAILABLE ON 05'S. LUCKY ME I GOT ONE BEFORE THEY REALIZED HOW TO ROUTE THE LINES SO THEY DONT RUB. JUST PO'D THAT IT WOULD TAKE THIS LONG FOR A RECALL ISSUE.
That's Harley Davidson..
They have the recall on the voltage regulator on the 06 touring models. Been waiting for over 3 months for my dealer to get me a new one, still hasn't come in yet. But the old one is working just fine.

My son just had his done. Got his recall notice called up Ocean County HD, N.J., they said bring it right in. He was in and out of there in 25 minutes. They even wanted to give him a free detailing, he refused since we were going out riding for the day.
YEAH THEY HAVE THE RECALL KITS TO READJUST THE CLIPS AND GET THEM OUT OF THE WAY. MINE HOWEVER HAS RUBBED THROUGH AND HAS TO HAVE THE LINES REPLACED AND RECLIPPED. JUST NEED TO VENT!

the recall involves the placement of new retention clips which isolate the metal lines, a clip that holds the clutch cable out of the way of the metal lines and a clocking device for the rubber lines. It also includes the inspection and replacement of chaffed lines while doing the clips.
I would say that yours are rubbing somewhere, some worse than others...metal or rubber. Get this done....regardless. This involves all police bikes with ABS 2005 thru 2007.
