Some great music here. If I had to pick one CD, probably either The Doors or Steppenwolf in their prime. Otherwise, I go with my current iPod selection which doesn't force me to choose because it has all the great ridin' music I want to hear--most of it already mentioned here.
This may get me ostrisized but truth is, I do listen to the local
public radio station on mine and it's classical all the way. I was
raised on the classics. Mom tried to instill in me a taste for all
kinds of music. At work, my computer is tuned to that same station and I listen to classical and opera all day. I do get some
strange looks now and then but most are use to it by now.
Dispatch, go back and read the post a bit more carefully, I suggested some great Texas music from the late, great Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. It don't get more country and western than that !!!! Better known as Western Swing music. Like Ole Waylon said, "It don't matter who's in Austin, Bob Wills is still the King". Some killer tunes to cruise with. Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys had it goin' on back in the day. My favorite kind of music nowdays...PACO

Paco, I apologize. I am not familiar with almost all Country Western artists, except for a fewof the most current day artists, I have no clue. As I said earler, what ever floats your boat. [sm=smiley20.gif]
That is, unless your talkingabout RAP and HIP HOP music! [sm=crossbonesgif.gif]
I like smaller bands, Sister Hazel is one, while I also like a little heavier band called Cowboy Mouth... try 'em out...
Although any of the above listed ones would work except for Donnie and Marie.
But to each their own...
Some of you guys are pretty funny ..... or gay.I'm notmakin' sport of anyone's choices - I guesssomeone has to like Manilow besides my wife.
One single album won't get me to the next town where I live.I gots to have it all so I burn an MP3 CD with 10 hrs. of the best 60s,70s (NO DISCO - NO RAP !!) and Blues ever made. Throw in a littleRay Wylie Hubbard for the Country(or is it Western?) side.
