head pipe glowing
I was at work last night and had the bike running waiting for the guys to get ready bike probaly sat for 3 mins running with out moving. I happen to look down and the head pipe on the rear cylendar was glowing red hot, it looked like the damn thing was going to turn into molten metal. That was the fist time i had ever noticed anything like that. Just wondering if it is normal or anyone else seen this???
yeah mines an 08 and actually i have the bub 7's and the o2 port plugs changed colors to white, they are sending me new ones. I run a PCIII which does not use the o2 sensors. My PCIII is actually dead so i have it removed now they also are sending me a new one...i just cant belive the heat that these bikes put out
Have you changes your air cleaner yet?
If so, and you're running without your PCIII, your bike is running very lean right now. This is one reason your pipe got so hot.
I've heard about guys that found pipes cracked from getting so hot.

This is the main reason that I did a stage 1 upgrade. To beat the heat.
