Too bad you didn't have the security system and pager....you might have been able to catch them soon enough to at least get a license number....of course the siren probably would have scared them off real quick. Sorry for your loss....sounds like the no-parking area was not very well marked, and even if it was well marked its no excuse for some idiot to run down your bike.

I have a nice story for ya.
My friend was at WalMart and parked way in the back. He rides an R1, some lady was backing up and slammed into his bike gets out looks at her car and takes off. He happened to be walking out and saw this happen, the way he tells it he could not even shout because he was so shocked at what he was seeing. The bike was totaled, bent frame and something with the case having been cracked.
After calling the LEO they get the security footage and with an eye witness they got her plate. They go to her house and she flat out lies to the Detective. He asks if she has a VCR and if he could pop in a tape, she swears up and down she did not do this and the husband says lets watch the tape. Well there she was red handed, she flips out and slaps her husband for assisting the Detective. The Detective tries to diffuse the wife she hits him and gets arrested. She was charged with hit and run, fleeing the scene of an accident, obstruction of justice, domestic battery and aggravated assault.
To hear the story the way he tells it....... very funny. He and the witness both went to the home with the Detective for identification he said it was the funniest to see her come out of the house looking like Courtney Love on a three day binge.....

Damn, doing that kind of damage and taking off is some really bad karma. They'll get theirs eventually. If you're like me, it's probably better you didn't see it happen. If I came out and saw that happen, I'd go to jail for sure!
