Default Helmet Locks

I own an '04 EGC. I am in the process of trying to put a set of helmet locks on it. I just ordered a set from a catalog and upon them arriveing, I noticed they only would fit on the engine guard. I do not want to put a set on the end of my handle bars that compliment my ISO grips. Look like crap I think.

Any ideas? Will the ones that attach to my license plate frame give me enough clearance under the Tour Pak and not hangon top of the tail pipe tips and get scratched or burnes?

Default RE: Helmet Locks

I too searched for a set of helmet locks that I liked the looks of that could be permately attached in a place that put the helmet in a good position and didn't look tacky. Although I modified a set that I mounted under my tour pack the locks I use the most are really small cable gun locks. What I like about them is that I can place the helmet right side up to keep from filling with rain water on the seat or saddle bag and lock to the tour pack frame or just about anywhere. If you order from Master lock you can get two or more keyed alike which helps. I also have a retractable cable lock that can not only lock two or more helmits together it's three foot extended length can also be ran through a couple of jacket sleeves and locked to the bike for those times when you want to enjoy being away from the bike but don't want to carry those bulky items around with you. Here is the gun cable lock which I carry a couple of in my tour pack.

I have this one... http://www.boltlockcorp.com/

I have a second loop that can go through a jacket if my bags are filled and you can mount it anywhere theres a bolt.

I also bought a second mount so I could use it on the backsupport rest.

When i'm not using it, it stores in the bags.

I found something like Cruise has at Fry's. It was a combination model that I think was meant for luggage or something of the sort. I would lock the helmet to the rack on the LowRider since there isn't really any place else.
