So how big are the pots? We boiled crab the other night and our stock pot was bit small for 2 pounds.
You could cut the pots down powder coat them and make air filter covers.

I knew that was coming sooner or later. So you wouldn't be upset if this happened to you! [sm=bs.gif]

I'd keep the pots, probably better than the vac anyway.
I have a rule with Harbor Freight stuff, if its a mechanical tool (has operating parts), unless I'm gonna use it just once, I'll buy a good one somewhere else.
If it's like cutoff wheels, hammers, gloves, I'll buy it there if its cheap enough.

The pots were only half the price of the vacuum. Even if the pots would have cost more than the vacuum, I could not keep it. What comes around goes around and I wouldn't take the chance.

This is not a perfect world, and life is not fair. All that matters is that it works itself out in the end. I don't know how old you are, but eventually you should figure out that things outside of your control are not worth getting worked up for. Or ranting about.
I agree with everything you said. My rant was to see if anyone had the same experience. If mine was one of the occasional oops, then I may try another order with them.

I usually regret buying cheap tools of any kind, but HF is hard to stay away from. It was easier when they were primarily a mail order deal.

I'll never understand why guys pay 20K for a bike and then buy a $10.00 Chinese tool set. Almost all of the problems with stripped heads, stripped allen heads, and stripped torx heads are the result of using non-precise, soft, inferior Chinese tools.

Harbor Freight is a strange phenom and worthy to know about. But ya gotta watch some of the stuff. Like the MIG welder for a couple hundred bucks... don't even go there! Like the U.S. made Goodyear 50 foot industrial air hose... incredible good deal. Like the 4" air powered cut off tool... only $15. and that puppy has worked like a champ under lots of abuse. Most electrical and mechanical Chinese made off-brand tools... junk!
But I needed a 36" metal brake for light fabrication, and I ended up getting theirs for a huge savings cause the thing is so basic that nothing can go wrong with it that I can't fix.
