Passenger Seating
After taking delivery on my 08 Ultra Glide, I installed the Tour pak relocation plate to give my wife more room. It accomplished that purpose and for short trips it is fine. We did our first significant ride last week end about 400 miles each day. After 200 miles though she was in pain and was miserable for the rest of the ride. Of course you know who else is miserablewhen the Co-Rider is miserable. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem? I ran onto a company that builds the seats for Thorobred Motors Trikes. He came up with a solution and of course it involves a new seat. He is also building a fillet to go between the passenger back rest and the seat to fill in the space and give her something to fill in the empty space behind the seat. Has anyone else done anything like this? His seats look really good in the Stallion and I am anxious to get it in. About May 12/13 They think that it will take two days to build and install the seat. He gave me a satisfaction guarantee in writing. From the rider standpoint I am much more comfortable on the UG than I was on my Gold Wing but then the new seat should make it just that much better. So I will keep everyone informed.

Had similar poblems with the wife and the new '07 UC. Relocated the tourpac, raised the passenger floorboards and installed a Road Zeppelin seat. Wife is really happy now. Only challenge is keeping her awake while riding.
I did something similar with the small pad that sits below the backrest. It is filled with fiber fill and does not provide very much support for the passengers lower back as most of you know. I removed the fiber fill and replaced it with about 4" of memory foam. It's not perfect but does provide a little better support than what the stock unit provides.
