Default Need help does anyone know the correct # for my primary cover

I don't know if is this is the correct place for this post, but I'm sure one of you bagger guy's can help me.
I need to know what the correct HD part # is for a Chrome outer primary cover. Mine got scuffed up from where my rear Rinehart pipe tab broke and it ended up rubbing on the primary cover pretty bad. I didn't find out until I removed the pipes. I am know running a 2-1 exhuast system and the primary cover looks terrible. HD wants around $300.00 for a new one. I ended up finding a used one on Ebay for $66.00. The seller said it was for 99-06 touring models.
But the part #'s dont match up. It look's like the right one but the part numbers don't match up with what HD is telling me. They say the part number is 60665-99B and the one I bought on Ebay is stamped on the inside and say's 60685-04. I told the guy at the part's counter the 60685-04 # and he said their was no such #.
I don't get it ? Does anyone have any clue to what's going on? Did HD change their part # on this item? If so, why?
Thanks for any input anyone may have..........[sm=confused06.gif]

60665-99A is the correct # As long as the cover you bought is off of a TC88, it shouldn't matter. Just a few screws holding it on. Shouldn't be a big deal to just try it and see.
