Fla Riders
I noticed two years ago almost everyone wasn't wearing a Helmet on bikes, now it seems Like I see everyone wearing helmets. I came back from winter Haven yesterday and saw 30 bikes and only one was lidless. Is ther some new change in the law that has changed peoples attitude? May be a dumb question but, I have not heard of any change in the law.

You will see that in the winter. Some hard core types will still ride without a lid
no matter how cold it is. I have a buddy of mine who is like that. It cracks me
up when we stop and his face is so frozen he can't talk.

Not a lawyer, but the REAL florida law reads, if your over 21 you need a 10K medical policy, THEN you can ride without a lid. Law HB1911 s. 316.211. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/ourplace/Biker/newlaw.htm

Even at 53 I want to keep my brains in my bucket.. Then there's the younger girlfriend.. She has the NO helmet mentality.. But I make her wear it on those rides..
