I put about 350 miles on yesterday trying out the new link, road through the same 35 40 mile stretch with a lot of sharp corners and long sweepers on the way to devils tower 2 times by myself and twice with son in law on his sporster last year he would just walk away from me on my glide with the new link it was like it was on rails was right on his *** all the way love the new link man what a difference my 2 thumbs up worth every penny
I don't have the bike in front of me and I don't have the kit to look at right now.
But looking it the pictures of it and the install I am trying to determine if lets say.
You hit a sharp bump or pot hole can it put added stress of pressure on the oil pan?
And could this be a problem?
If I am totally off base just tell me to go back into my corner and shut up.
I have a friend that's a pretty good wrench & he has similar reservations about mounting to the oil pan bolts. I've done some searching & asked around, but haven't been able to find anyone that's had a problem.
I don't think normal motor vibration or the lateral torque that the stabilizer is correcting is enough to cause problems. I do have some reservations about systems like the Tru-Track that extend below the frame & could be subject to impact from curbs/speed bumps/etc. But I haven't heard of any problems with those & I've seen photos of well worn units. The TWR mounts above the frame, so chance of those kinds of impact are minimal.
Motorcycles have risks. I think this mod. solves more problems than it creates, so I'll keep mine.

Jinks,
Thanks I was hoping I was off base with this.
Because I like the reports about the improved handling and was worried about maybe a bigger problem.
Nice job Steve, Ijust got done installing mine,It took me about 2 hours total, I was bound and determined not to remove the exhaust and wasted about 30 minutes. I gave in and everything else went pretty easy.Everything about this is high quality,,,Thanks Again Tim
